Introducing “Casa Madre”, our permanent training centre

As the saying goes, you never stop learning.
That’s why this spring we’re opening “Casa Madre”, our first permanent training centre.
 

“Casa Madre” will be a place to learn the trade and start a professional career in a continuous growth cycle – just like our sourdough, a symbol of skill and craftsmanship from which our centre takes its name. It’s the starting point for each of our pizzas, just like Casa Madre will be a starting point for everyone who wishes to join our training programme 😉
 

“Casa Madre” will be located in Bologna, the city where we began our amazing journey, inside a rural house (formerly Fourghetti) at Via Murri 71. It will become our beating heart, a living place packed with flexible spaces, educational initiatives and masterclasses held by industry professionals.
 

The curriculum covers a wide variety of topics. For 2024 we’ve already planned a number of training courses including “The history of pizza in Italy and around the world”, a Leadership and communication course to manage work teams and “Safe at work”, a course curated by Fondazione Libellula to identify and address discrimination and harassment.
 

“Casa Madre” will also be home to a new pizzeria, open every day, where you can enjoy your favourite Berberè pizza – they’re all made with organic flour, live sourdough, seasonal ingredients and served pre-cut into 8 slices, ready for sharing!
 

As one of our founders Matteo Aloe said, “We want to give the people who chose to join us the opportunity to always learn something new, year after year, even just for the pleasure of learning. […] We’ll always have more and more friendly people serving delicious pizzas in lovely places.”
